Who Is Gossip Girl?
Gossip Girl, “Hey Upper East Siders, Gossip Girl here, and I have the biggest news ever!”

Yes my fellow T.V. junkies, I watch Gossip Girl
There’s just something about the Upper East Side socialites’ scandals and drama that keeps you at the edge of your seat. It kinda makes you want to see them suffer, doesn’t it? With their perfect hair, perfect clothes, perfect lives. Watching their drama, seem to make them more human…even if it’s just television. Television is an imitation of life so they say.
So anyway, back to my question. Who is Gossip Girl? This show is based on a book by Cecily Von Ziegesar with, as I gather, 11 books on this series so far. So, one of them must have revealed who Gossip Girl is, would it? It couldn’t be Blair and Serena, they’re the center of all the gossip so why would they reveal their dirty laundry to the public? If you know who, hit me up and comment, it would be much appreciated.
And who am I? That’s one secret I already told.

k i have read every single book including the prequel and if the rest of u would do the same instead of just going off the tv show then u will realise it is NOT jenny vanessa or blair, although ive yet to figure out who yet either. I kinda think it might be some lame ass who totally isn’t like Blair or serena or any of the glamorous people, who knows she could just worship and stalk them. Yes it is Kirsten Bell, but she’s just the voice of Gossip Girl, she doesn’t really play Gossip Girl. We’re all trying to find out who among the characters is Gossip Girl. If ever it gets revealed. You have to admit it’s intruiging.

But my guess is kati and isabell. The asian and african girls.
It could be jenny…
In the books she eventually leaves, but I doubt josh schwartz will include that since he’s already changed so much.
I could tell you all the ways he has changed the show, but there are way too many.
My best guess would be some random ass person who doesn’t even know them….but worships them from far away.
Kinda like how jenny once was.
Basically, if you love the show, or even like it, go do yourself a favor and read the books. They’re a million times better than the show.
I mean, I love the show, I love josh schwartz(I am basically the biggest the oc fan ever…), but the books.
Damn.

I have read the books and watched every episode of the show. I love what Josh Schwartz has done with the script for Gossip Girl. I hate many of the character flaws that Cecily Von Ziegesar imposed on the characters in the book (i.e. Dan being psycho obsessed and stalkerific and Serena being portayed as such a ho bag). The fashion in the show is amazing and even people without money can come away with ideas to go buy for their wardrobe.

P.S. I agree with Alex about Gossip Girl possibly being Chuck. If you will notice he is one of the only people who has never been talked about by Gossip Girl in the inner circle. The only time he ever had any dirt pop up about him was when he sent it himself.

Ive read all the books & it doesnt tell you. Id rather not know who gossip girl is, it would ruin the books & the show for me. Im pretty sure gossip girl is none of the main characters in the book or show, it would be dumb if it was some one like jenny or any of the characters, do you agree? In the books you read part of it & you think youve got it all figured out who gossip girl is but then you realise it couldnt be. Also the reason i think that its none of the characters in the book is because gossip girl rights about every single one of the main characters, so it cant be any of them otherwise they would be writing gossip about themselves wouldnt that be a bit lame? it could be a character you only hear about once or twice in the books.

Anyway i must say that i disagree with Turkey Whisper. f they were real people i’d actually feel sorry for them rather than want them to suffer more. Imagine what that kind of life is like. Well, I’ve read all the books -from cover to cover- and the identity of Gossip Girl is enver revealed. Altough, in the books, some small things point towards Chuck (who in the books turn out to be homosexual and starts to date Dan’s ex-boyfriend, long story…) but I don’t think it would be him in the series since he plays such a central part…
