T.V. News
Quick updates on upcoming shows. Don’t forget to catch American Idol Season 7 on January 15 and 16. A 2-night, 4-hour event. Even though I wanted Blake to win last season instead of Jordin, there’s just something about it that keeps me entertained. Maybe I enjoy watching people get humiliated in front of millions of people.
Anyway, Eureka fans, prepare for a bitter-sweet news. Sci-fi Channel ordered a third season with 13 episodes for Eureka. But if your as impatient as me, you’d be dismayed to know that it will premier summer of 2008. I just can’t wait that long. My ADHD would kick in, I’d be too distracted by current faves and new upcoming shows that I’d forget there’s even a show called Eureka.
TV Guide reported that ABC Family renewed Kyle XY for a third season with 10 episodes. It is also reported that it will premiere on January 14, 2008. This date isn’t official yet, so just watch out for it on this date.
Apparently Showtime is part of the CBS corporation. So news is, they’re going to bump Dexter to CBS with some edits! Noooo! I love Dexter as it is. Since they saw how Dexter hits the T.V. world by storm, they bought it but they found it too gory so they attached a “with edits” line to it. Typical of CBS to kill joy. Jericho for instance … sigh, I won’t even go there.
“‘Dexter is probably the first to go on [CBS], with some edits,’ he said, according to the Reporter. ‘It fits with our crime shows.’ No date other than ‘the near future’ was given by Moonves.“
Speaking of Jericho, good news my fellow Nuts amigos! The show will return officially on February 12 at 10 PM. We won! Here is a post by Nina Tassler CBS entertainment president:
“Over the past few weeks, you have put forth an impressive and probably unprecedented display of passion in support of a primetime television series. You got our attention; your e-mails and collective voice have been heard.”
“In success, there is the potential for more. But, for there to be more Jericho, we will need more viewers,” Tassler’s post continues. “A loyal and passionate community has clearly formed around the show. But that community needs to grow. It needs to grow on the CBS Television Network, as well as on the many digital platforms where we make the show available. We will count on you to rally around the show, to recruit new viewers with the same grass-roots energy, intensity, and volume you have displayed in recent weeks.“
More T.V. news coming up. For the meantime, thoughts anyone?
