Smallville Season 7 Episode 15 : Veritas Spoilers
The 15th episode of Smallville sounds exciting. With promises like “Everything changes after Episode 15, and Smallville will never be the same again.”. I bet! With rumors of Michael Rosenbaum leaving the show, I’m guessing something BIG will happen.
It has been confirmed that Kristen Kreuk will not be a mainstay in season 8. Allison Mack and Michael Rosenbaum’s contracts ended with season 7, so they are currently negotiating but no official deals have been signed for them as of yet. Smallville will never be the same without Lex. I mean he’s one of the major characters. There wouldn’t be Superman without Lex. CW better sign Michael Rosenbaum for season 8 or else there wouldn’t be one as far as the fans of the show is concerned!
Anyway, back to Veritas. Here is the official episode summary from CW:
KARA TEACHES CLARK HOW TO FLY
Kara (Laura Vandervoort) decides to teach Clark (Tom Welling) how to fly in order to strengthen his chances against Brainiac (guest star James Marsters). However, Brainiac seems to have the upper hand against the super cousins,
and some of Clark’s loved ones are caught in the crossfire. Kristin Kreuk, Michael Rosenbaum, Allison Mack, Erica Durance, Aaron Ashmore and John Glover also star. James Marshall directed the episode written by Brain Peterson & Kelly Souders
This episode will air on March 27, 2008.
* Episode 15 is entitled “Veritas,” will be a flashback featuring some of Smallville’s most notorious villains. Roles that are currently being cast include Robert Queen, Young Jason Teague, Young Patricia Swann, and Young Oliver Queen. Another troublemaker mentioned in the casting sides is Genevieve Teague, who was expertly played by Jane Seymour back in season four. Her role is still unconfirmed (IT’s BEEN CONFIRMED SHE WONT BE BACK), but it looks like the episode will flashback to when Lionel (John Glover), the Teagues, the Queens, and Swann were all working together in the late 1980s.
* Remember the “Queen Industries CEO Missing, Presumed Dead” headline wayyy back in Smallville’s very first episode? That newspaper factors in to this story.
* Chloe (Allison Mack) will finally confront Lionel about his true motivations.
* villain Brainiac will be returning for the episode
* Lois and Jimmy work together on a story.
* Episode 15 is also set to explore some long-standing elements and arcs from the overall Smallville mythology. This episode, along with the previous one, will bring back many things that happened in past seasons and finally tie them together. The storyline will heavily involve Clark (Tom Welling) and the Luthors, but beyond that we’ll have to keep guessing as to which questions we’ll get answers to.
* Creator Alfred Gough has confirmed that episode 15 ends on a cliffhanger, to ensure that it will keep fans talking if it does end up being the season finale
* The presence of Brainiac takes place in the present day, not in a flashback.
* Chloe isn’t the only one to have words with Lionel in this episode. Expect Lex and Lois to also have dialogue with the elder Luthor.
* “Everything changes after Episode 15, and Smallville will never be the same again.”

Zucht Says:
There may not be a Superman without Lex Luthor (if you know nothing of Superman’s mythology), but Smallville’s Lex Luthor has made more appearances than Superman’s Lex Luthor has in the last few decades. Smallville’s Lex Luthor raises the question of how much brain damage does Lex Luthor receive in order not to recognize Clark when he becimes Superman.
I for one will be glad that Lex and Lana will not be returning to the show.
I like the actors but the characters have been over used to a nausiating expanse. It’s past time for the now adult Clark to assume the cape he is meant to wear.

I agree with Zught, Lex and Lana have really had their chances!
I must admit, another Lex (someone other than Michael Rosenbuam would not fit). Lex can come back maybe once in season 8, but in the series Smallville, Michael Rosenbuam is the only Lex!
Lana can die, I really do not like her, she is just poisen for Clark, it was her fault that Clarks father died.
They must really continue with Chloe’s character, their must be at least some more romantic bits between her and Clarke, before Smallville finale!!
