Ghost Whisperer Major Spoiler

DO NOT READ THIS POST IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE SPOILED!

This bit of spoiler have been circulating since August. I don’t know why I haven’t posted this yet, but here it is anyway:

OK, so, death is no stranger to Ghost Whisperer. Heck, the show’s very premise hinges on Jennifer Love Hewitt chatting with the dearly departed every week. (Or so Mandi Bierly tells me.)

But this season, the Grim Reaper makes it personal.

Although CBS declined to comment, multiple sources confirm what has been buzzing on the Internet for weeks (final final warning): Melinda is about to become a widower, as producers have decided to kill off TV hubby Jim (David Conrad) early in season 4.

OMFGWTFLOL?!

Simmer!

Remember, this is Ghost Whisperer, people. It’s highly unlikely that Jim’s death will mark the end of Conrad’s GW run (see also: sassy Talk Soup lady). But how long will he be sticking around and in what capacity? God only knows.

Bottom line: If, like Ms. Bierly, you only watch GW for “those special moments when he actually gets to do something, like wear a wifebeater to bed,” don’t freak out. At least not until I tell you to freak out.

OK, time to freak out.

If this is true, it’s so sad. I actually like Jim. :(

I really hope this is not true. I am all for excitement but to kill him off is just stupid. Shows like this have a short shelf life to begin with they are just further shortening it with this kind of silliness.

What is going on with these shows killing off the time when they actually feel “real”. Didn’t they learn from close to home… the show lost viewers and then was canceled..these are the times when she is a real person… We enjoy her going on dates with her husband and looking to him for the support. Plus… what about the family and wanting a baby…. Jim is such a huge part of the show… Now all she do is cry he is the one good thing solid in her life… She already has a broken family, mom can’t stand her, dad is dead, wasn’t her real dad… Lost her best friend… brought in a horrible replacment and Payne, has a new show… Why couldn’t he die and at least he liked her. Please somebody help the show and please…. keep Jim…. I’ll have to leave whisper like I left ER when George Clooney left….

What were the producers thinking when they decided to kill off Jim? The relationship between Mel and Jim were a big feature of this show for my wife and I. Unfortunately, we will not be watching this show anymore. I don’t think we will be alone.Where can it possibly go from here? Shame on the writers.

I just watched the episode where they killed Jim. I cannot believe it. Why would the show do this? Do they have something up their sleeve or are they just stupid? I like Michelle, stopped watching ER when George Clooney left. I have really enjoyed this show and it is such a shame that they are getting rid of such great characters and just when the relationship was going so well with Jim and Melinda.

My wife and I may not watch anymore either… the earlier comment about actually seeing a functional happy couple on TV was pretty darn refreshing… this bites big time!!!….they have never done a looong dream sequence on GW before, but I told my wife that that would be the ONLY was to get out of this BAD decision, Melinda did fall asleep by Jim’s bedside…. considering the coming attractions were about Jim and M dealing with his death, etc, I think my ‘dream sequence’ idea is far too wishful thinking…

I just finished watching it . . . and I do mean FINISHED! I guess there is no such thing as a happy ever after couple anymore on TV. What are they going to make Jim a ghost and her new sidekick? Because I sure don’t like the new guy . . . .
    I’m FINISHED . . .

After I saw the episode I was so distraught, I cried and said ” I WILL NOT WATCH THIS SHOW IF JIM IS REALLY DEAD!” Don’t these writers realize that all of us related to the great relationship between Melinda and Jim? Get real - get him back for Good - not as a ghost. How sad, a great show down the tubes!

We love Ghost Whisperer’ “but” after the last episode where Jim dies, we are considering not watching it any more. Jim & Mels relationship was “is” wonderful. The person who decided this story line was DEAD wrong. Don’t let Jim really be gone.
