Upcoming new J.J. Abrams series called Fringe looks interesting. It will premiere on August 26, 2008. I’m actually looking forward to it. Here is the press release from FOX on what the series is all about.

When an international flight lands at Boston’s Logan Airport and the passengers and crew have all died grisly deaths, FBI Special Agent OLIVIA DUNHAM (newcomer Anna Torv) is called in to investigate. After her partner, Special Agent JOHN SCOTT (Mark Valley, “Boston Legal”), is nearly killed during the investigation, a desperate Olivia searches frantically for someone to help, leading her to DR. WALTER BISHOP (John Noble, “Lord of the Rings”), our generation’s Einstein. I can’t quite see Joshua Jackson play something other than romantic roles. I don’t know how he will fare in a serious role such as this. We’ll see though.
