Love the end! I was way off in my predictions though, but I’m one happy camper. Love how everything just fell into place.

As what last episode left off, Lila found Dexter’s cabin. She went in and found Doakes in the cage plus the chopped body of Dexter’s latest victim.

Doakes told her it was Dexter who put him in there and he’s the Bay Harbor Butcher. Of course he didn’t know who Lila was. Lila was shocked but not scared. In fact she was quite happy. She said Dexter is her soulmate. So, she decided to clean up Dexter’s mess and kill Doakes with her usual weapon of choice…fire.

Poor innocent Doakes. Producers killed him after all. I’ll miss him on the third season…that is if there is one. Hope so. Anyway, This is one of the reasons why I love Dexter, if they kill a person they will show the body. They show proof that the person is really dead. So that person wouldn’t just show up in a later episode like most shows does.

As if that scene wasn’t enough to convince the viewers that Doakes really died, here is another proof.

Eew right? Lol

Dexter was so relieved, he thought it was a miracle. He thought that there must be some higher power that liked what he does. He had no idea that that higher power was Lila. He could have been busted if Lila hadn’t burn the cabin. The police were on their way to the cabin based on the new lead they discovered. So yeah, the witch Lila is useful after all.

As I was saying, Dexter was so relieved that he had to get it on with Rita. Woot woot! Go Dexter!

He thought everything was all over, finally he was free. Little did he know that there’s a “deeply mutated version of himself running loose” as Dexter would put it.

But Dexter’s bliss was short lived. He soon found out what Lila did. As he was cataloging evidence with Masuka, he found out that the explosion was not just a propane accident. Somebody had to open the propane valve and turn the stove on. So he put two and two together. Who does he know that has a nasty habit of stealing? Yeah…Lila.

So Dexter met up with Lila and confronted her. They confronted alright!

Oh relax! Dexter was just playing her so he could kill her. He told her they should run away together. But little did Lila know, that instead of packing an overnight bag, Dexter was packing his serial killer kit.

Dexter went to Lila’s loft to kill her, but the stupid annoying Debra ruined it his chance. Deb went to Lila’s loft to make sure she really did went away. But she was still there.

Plus she figured out what Dex was doing. That he was there not for the promised road trip, but for a kill. So she picked up Dex’s bag and left. She confirmed her doubts when she saw what was inside the bag.

So, the evil witch kidnapped Astor and Cody, Rita’s kids. She probably figured, if Dex was planning to kill her she might as well hurt the people close to him. She brought the kids to her loft and lured Dexter there. Once Dexter was inside the loft, she set it on fire and locked the kids and Dexter in there.

He found a way to get the kids out of the loft, through a window. But unfortunately he wouldn’t fit. He had no way out!

Eventually he found a weak spot on the wall. He covered himself with a blanket and slammed his body through the wall. He got out and Deb found him and helped him.

Lila got away and went to Paris. But not for long. Our favorite serial killer is brilliant. He tracked Lila. Instead of injecting her of the tranquilizer stuff, she injected her with a spinal epidural that paralyzed her. They got a past after all. He doesn’t want Lila to feel the pain. But you should’ve seen this coming Lila. I love this part!

Finally! The annoying evil witch is dead. See for yourself and bask in the victory. Hehe…

Everything is all ironed out. Nobody knows who Dexter really is. No more threats. No more obsessive witches. It’s time to close the season. Here is Doakes’ memorial ceremony. Nobody came. Poor Doakes. He will be missed.

Anyway, don’t worry Dexter is still in business. There will still be stories left for a season 3. Hopefully there is. Here is Dexter, buying a new container for his trophies. And now he’s back in game!
