Dark And Twisty
Meredith “Have you seen Burke?”
Cristina “No. Have you seen Derek?”
Meredith “No.”
Izzie “Wait, you haven’t seen either of them since the wedding?”
Meredith and Cristina “Nope.”
Izzie “And you’re all fine?”
Meredith “Yep.”
Cristina “Yep.”
Izzie “Wow. You’re either incredible healthy or completely messed up. “
At first, I’ve always said that Grey’s Anatomy isn’t my cup of tea. It’s just too much of a soap opera. I thought it was corny and unoriginal. But then one day, I went to a shop and browsed some DVDs, and I couldn’t find any decent T.V. shows that I didn’t already have. The only show there that I didn’t own yet, was Grey’s Anatomy. So I went ahead and bought it. And now I’m hooked! It’s my guilty pleasure. I’m actually wanting more of their “dark and twisty” lives. It’s true though, that everything is not always black and white.
The fourth season premiere was good. It was the continuation of the cliff hanger last season. The after shocks. It’s the “What happens now?” of Burke leaving Christina on their wedding day, Meredith’s sister Lexie being an intern at Seattle Grace Hospital, the on and off relationship of Meredith and McDreamy, Izzy saying the forbidden three words to George.
It turned out that Christina and Meredith went on a “honeymoon” to Hawaii. And when asked, Christina answers the all too famous words next to “seriously”, which is “I’m fine” that translates to exactly the opposite. They are all so dysfunctional that watching it makes me feel better about my own life.
So anyway, Lexie kept on searching for acceptance from Meredith which was only in vain. As for Meredith and McDreamy, they’re having break-up sex, not really a surprise. Why can’t they just accept that they’re in love with each other already and stop fighting it? Although there wouldn’t be a show if they did that, would there?
And lastly, after a lot of avoidance and confrontations, George finally said “I love you.” back to Izzy. At least somebody finally admitted something.
All in all fairly decent premiere. Lots of things to look forward to.
