Pushing Daisies Season 2 Spoilers

Finally! Some Pushing Daisies news! Here are some spoilers for the first 3 episodes of season 2. There are no dates yet, but at least we won’t be left wondering if there will be a season 2.  Although, according to TV.com Circus Circus will air on September 1, 2008.

Season 2 Episode 1

Olive has a breakdown and packs up to leave in the middle of the night. Fearing that she’ll spill some pretty big secrets, Aunt Lily whisks Olive
off to a nunnery in the country.

Season 2 Episode 2 : Circus Circus

We open with Young Ned at school, using his gift to revive some baby birds. Unfortunately, the side effect of his gift impacts the class project.

A woman named Georgeann Heaps hires Emerson Cod to find her missing daughter, Nikki. The investigation leads them to a circus, a man named Bryce von Deenis, mimes who aren’t talking, and a car full of dead clowns.

Ned and Chuck are still trying to find a way to be around each other, despite all that’s changed. It’s awkward, but they both want to start fresh.

In an attempt to be more independent, Chuck has moved into an apartment across the hall from Ned so they are no longer living together, but she still visits The Pie Hole regularly. As do her no-longer shut-in aunts, which means lots of jumping behind counters and darting through doors for Chuck.

Olive, still in the nunnery, decides perhaps she needs to stay a while longer and turn over a new leaf.

Season 2 Episode 3 : Bad Habits

We flash back to young Olive, age 9 years (20 weeks, 4 days, 11 hours, 33 minutes), fresh off her first riding lesson and completely besotted with horses. She asks her parents for an Arabian, but her request is summarily dismissed. Exhibiting a tenacity still evident in the adult Olive, the young girl decides to dig a hole to the Middle East and find a horse herself. Part way into this endeavor, she discovers a fossilized dinosaur. Young Olive trades the priceless artifact for her heart’s desire - a white Arabian horse.

Back in present day, Sister Olive, still inhabiting the nunnery, digs for truffles with Pigby, her truffle-hunting sow. One of her “sisters” turns up dead in an apparent suicide, but Olive doesn’t believe that and hires Ned and Emerson to investigate. As it turns out, the deceased wasn’t quite as devout as she seemed. With a pair of eavesdropping, gossipy nuns tripping them up, Ned, Emerson, Chuck and Olive attempt to get to the bottom of the crime before the Vatican Police - aka the Pope’s 007s - arrive.

Meanwhile, Ned is concerned that Chuck is so intent on clearing up her past while Chuck ponders her purpose in the present.

Pushing Daisies Spoiler

Finally, some scoop on Pushing Daisies.

Chuck will definitely find out who her real mother is in Season 2. “It’s going to be interesting to see how she reacts to that information,” said Fuller, “and how the Pie Maker tries to control her trajectory and how that will complicate their relationship. There are going to be some nice surprises.”

Writer’s Strike: Update on Shows

Yay! The strike is coming to an end. It’s about time. Here are some updates on our favorite shows.

Heroes:

What We’re Hearing: Though an official decision has not yet been made, the most likely scenario is that Heroes will not return to our small screens until this fall. We’ve heard from a few crew members that they’ve been told they are not likely to return to set this season. Word is, the writers want a bit of breathing room to get the storyline up and running. Stay tuned on this one…

Grey’s Anatomy:

What We’re Hearing: Grey’s will go back into production this season and is expected to produce a handful of new episodes to air in April and May. And yes, Josh Jackson is expected to finally fulfill his guest-spot duties as Cristina’s love interest. So, yes, there is a god.

Supernatural:

Executive Producer Erik Kripke Says: “I would say we can probably get three, maybe four episodes in the can. I think three is the safe number to say probably. So, I hope so…I just hope. Obviously we all love the show and want to get back to work!”

What We’re Hearing: No firm decisions yet, but Supernatural is likely to resume production this season since it is one of the CW’s highest-rated series.

Pushing Daisies:

Executive Producer Bryan Fuller Says: “We’re all thrilled the strike is coming to a close and we can drop the politics and get back to the creativity. Many of the shows are getting ‘return to work’ letters this week from their studios, but we won’t be one of them. Previously, Warner Brothers said they wanted us to start writing the moment the WGA allowed us to go back to work so we could get a jump start and begin stockpiling scripts for season two. But I got the call on Friday that they didn’t want us to go back to work until March, regardless of the strike outcome.”That’s not to say there won’t be some informal meetings with the writing staff beforehand to discuss arcs for season two, but we’re essentially on hold until March (at least in an official capacity). The first order of business will be to sit down with ABC to discuss their thoughts on the nine completed episodes from what I like to call our ‘teaser season’—what they liked and what they didn’t—and then we’ll set about crafting season two and continuing the adventures of the Pie Maker and friends.”

What We’re Hearing: Hear that? It’s the sound of die-hard fans around the nation chanting “We want Daisies! We miss Chuck and Ned!” So, it seems we’ll get a lesson in patience while we wait for more eps of this show that is made of all kinds of awesome.

Bones:

What We’re Hearing: One Bones castmember tells us the strike was “very emotional and surreal” and that while they don’t yet know how many more episodes they might produce this season, things look good for a return to the set. Another castmember tells us: “I would assume that production would start back in two weeks or so.” However, sources tell us there is no decision yet on whether Bones will go back into production this season.

Chuck and Gossip Girl:

Executive Producer Josh Schwartz: “If the strike is over, then on behalf of Chuck and Gossip Girl we are all thrilled to get back to work. Both shows will be back for more episodes—when, I can’t quite say, though Gossip Girl will most likely be on as soon as possible. Chuck may not be back until fall to relaunch with Heroes, or it may be back sooner, but both will be back!”What We’re Hearing: Umm…Ditto what Schwartz says. Expect lots more Gossip Girl this season (the CW is crazy for this show and has requested an additional nine episodes to air this season), while Chuck is likely to return in the fall for its second season.

Heath Ledger’s Autopsy Result

Heath Ledger, a 28 year old actor just died last January 22. Toxicology report was just released and they ruled an accidental overdose of painkillers, sleeping pills, anti-anxiety medication and other prescription drugs. The report reads:

“Acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam (Valium), temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine.”

When police found Heath sprawled face down in his New York apartment, they found six types of prescription drugs in his bedroom and bathroom.

Heath’s father, Kim, released a statement this morning. He said:

“While no medications were taken in excess, we learned today the combination of doctor-prescribed drugs proved lethal for our boy. Heath’s accidental death serves as a caution to the hidden dangers of combining prescription medication, even at low dosage.”

In conclusion, never play doctor! Always consult a real doctor before you take any drug.

Happy Holidays

Merry Christmas T.V. Junkies! Sorry I wasn’t able to post earlier. I’ve been busy doing last minute Christmas shopping and Christmas party hopping. Boring! Lol I dunno Christmas is just boring this year.

Anyway, been watching 3 T.V. series during my vacation. I ran out of T.V. shows to watch. So I started watching Pushing Daisies, Moonlight, and Ugly Betty. I wasn’t really intrigued by them when they first came out. I thought Pushing Daisies was boring, Moonlight was not original, and Ugly Betty was too soap opera-ish. I was right about Moonlight. I liked Angel better. But, boy was I wrong about Pushing Daisies and Ugly Betty! Pushing Daisies’ over all feel is sweet. After the first episode, I was like awww… I love it.

I’m hooked on Ugly Betty! I’m currently on season 2 episode 3 now. For one whole day, I had an Ugly Betty marathon. In just one episode there are tons of things happening. I love the clothes, I love the candor, I love the drama and ooh I love Jason! I want one just like him! He could pick my clothes and do my hair and makeup. Lol
