Spoilers for Our Favorite Shows

Fringe is the most addictive new show on television! Give me some scoop on when Olivia and Peter will get all romantic. — Keith
Mickey: Well, Keith, I hate to disappoint you (perv), but it’s going to be a while. This show is so not about sex right now. My Fringe mole tells me that producers are aiming for a “slow burn” between Olivia and Peter. Olivia’s boyfriend, John, just died a few weeks ago, and he is currently haunting her. So she’s busy. Peter also has his hands full babysitting his dad. And then there’s all that world-saving to be done. Speaking of which: Look for Olivia’s work to take her overseas in a coming episode.

Did I read that Brothers & Sisters‘ Kevin was going to have some medical problems? Could you shed light on that? — Jennifer
Matt: Matthew Rhys indeed hinted at “health issues” vexing Kevin in this Emmys red-carpet video. All I am at liberty to add is that Kevin will consider undergoing a major surgical procedure. (Just don’t lop off his awesome accent!)

Question: I’m not feeling this Grimes guy as Brothers & Sisters‘ Ryan. Please tell me there’s more than meets the eye. — Doug
Ausiello: Believe me, I was as taken aback as you by the news that B&S handed the role of Ryan to a virtual unknown. But then one of my plugged-in TV industry moles emailed to assure me that, “Luke Grimes may not be an exciting name to the public, but in Hollywood, he is a star on the rise. There is tremendous amount of heat on him — so much so that I was surprised he committed to a TV show.” Also keep this in mind: Grimes’ casting was OK’d by Greg Berlanti. And if it’s good enough for Greg Berlanti, it’s good enough for me.

Question: I love Pushing Daisies! They wouldn’t really cancel it, would they? — Anna
Ausiello: Yes they would. Has Courtney contacted you about the flower drive she’s organizing? If not, you should be hearing from her very soon.

Question: Has Privileged been picked up for the entire season? I love Joanna Garcia in this show. — Anne
Ausiello: Quelle coincidence! I heart JG, too. And since the network has ordered additional scripts, things are looking good for a full-season pick-up. While we’re on the subject of Privileged, care for some scoop? (Rhetorical question; at ease.) We’re about to meet the MIA mom who managed to pop out polar-opposite daughters Megan and Lily. So…a cross between a grade-school hall monitor and Courtney Love?

Question: Loved your Gossip Girl multiple-choice death quiz last week. My guess is Vanessa is going to die. Got any other GG scoop? — Jennifer
Ausiello: How about another multiple-choice quiz — this one pertaining to an equally-as-tragic Gossip Girl event: Next month, Dorota will catch one of the following characters committing an act of self-love:

A. Serena
B. Chuck
C. Blair
D. Eleanor
E. Nate

Question: More Gossip Girl scoop? — Annie
Ausiello: What do Nate and Jenny have in common with Michael Cera and Ellen Page’s Juno characters? Nothing right now, but my Gossip snitch says that’s about to change. In other words, either Jenny is getting knocked up, or the two of them are going to perform a cover of the Moldy Peaches’ “Anyone Else But You” over the end credits.

Question: Is it just me or has Ugly Betty lost its charm? This season has been dull and boring so far. — Laura
Ausiello: It’s certainly been uneven. I loved the first two episodes, but 3 and 4 were borderline unwatchable. Alexis’ entire farewell arc was a hot tranny mess. The good news is, I hear episodes 5 thru 7 are a vast improvement. Of course, my Ugly mole had me at “Betty and Amanda become roommates.” Less so at “Betty catches Jesse with Amanda,” but I’m hoping I just misunderstood that part.

Canned

How safe really are our favorite shows from cancellation? I find it really annoying when I’ve grown attached to a particular TV show and after 12 episodes or so it will just end up being cancelled. Like Jericho for instance. Well, TvByNumbers formulated a statistics table of which shows are more likely to stay or get cancelled. This might help us prepare ourselves for the inevitable.

I’m scared for Terminator. I love that show. I’m also getting attached to Privileged. Sigh. Let’s just wait and see how accurate these predictions are.

Spoilers Ahead for Our Favorite T.V. Shows

I’m loving the new show Privileged, but spoilers are almost non-existent. What do they have up their sleeves? – Amy
Matt: Because you share my love for Jo’s new CW series (yes, I get to call her “Jo”), I give you this super-juicy scoop: Laurel (played by Anne Archer) has a big secret in her past… and one that Megan will come upon in a most un-Meganlike way. Oh, and one of the twins finds herself in a “roofie” situation — with a surprising outcome.

Tell me that Hart Hanson is not seriously thinking of having Booth’s brother, Jared, and Bones get into a relationship with each other. – Sharon
Matt: “Relationship” can be such a nasty word. Brennan most certainly will be attracted to the upstanding Navy officer, I am assured, and he to her. But really, how en fuego can these two get in just the two episodes Brendan Fehr is signed on for? I need at least four outings to get my own mojo working.

How about a little Gossip Girl?
Oh, twist my arm! I love that show, and I’m hearing that episodes 6 through 10 are amazing. The sixth ep is where Serena and Blair go to Yale and get in a physical catfight. (Is it sad that I’m looking forward to this more than any other TV event right now?) Also, Serena really starts falling for Aaron Rose, the artist I told you about whom she knew when she was younger. Looks like S is most def. into creative types

Marc in San Diego: Dexter please!
Dexter is going to do a bad, bad thing in the next episode, and Jimmy Smits is going to love him for it. It’s insane.

Dyan in Cambria Height, N.Y.: I can’t believe both Gio and Henry are gone! There’s a serious lack of male hotness on Ugly Betty now. Please tell me there will be some relief!
Do you remember the sexy, albeit suicidal, Captain Gault (Grant Bowler) from Lost? Grant will be playing Meade’s new CFO, and he tells me that his character “is a bit of a maverick and is very, very good at what he does. He manages to place himself squarely between Daniel and Wilhelmina.” That’s what she said? And in other hotness news, look for an Eddie Cibrian shower scene!

Sue in Madison, Ind.: I cannot wait for Pushing Daisies—I have missed Ned, Chuck, Olive, Emerson and Digby!
It’s back this Wednesday! Ned’s dad is going to pop up in the premiere, though Ned just doesn’t know it yet. Speaking of fathers, watch for Emerson to try and track down his missing daughter this season. Chi McBride told me at the ET/People post-Emmys party that the audience will be seeing her before Emerson does, and that there’s some serious baby-mama drama.

Trouble is afoot at Olive’s nunnery, so the gang will be going undercover in an upcoming episode. I’m pretty sure that’s when we’ll hear Kristin Chenoweth sing The Sound of Music, god bless her perky little awesome soul.

Sarah in Buffalo, N.Y.: Any scoop on True Blood? I am obsessed!
Nelsan Ellis, who plays Lafayette, told me a “big name” is going to be introduced as Lafayette’s vampire-blood supplier and boyfriend.

Melanie in Lake Tahoe, Calif: Hey, what about Brothers & Sisters? I loved the premiere! Are they going to find Ryan?
Yes, as I previously reported, Jason Ritter came in to meet with casting folks regarding the role of Ryan, but they are considering other name as well. Regardless, Nora will be put in charge of whether to find Ryan, and she and Holly will end up doing the deed. Also, Rebecca’s gonna give Nora a crap load of cash, and Kitty’s new book, which trashes the family, is not going to go over well.

Fabricio from San Francisco: Do you have any information about John and Cameron’s relationship on upcoming episodes of Terminator?
Don’t get your hopes up for anything too explicit—John is focused on Riley this season. Thomas Dekker told the crowd at the Golden Apple fan event that he enjoyed playing John’s “inner emotional battle” with his feelings for Riley. In other John news, apparently episode five is a big one for John and Derek’s relationship. According to Brian Austin Green, it’s good, but, “All I can say is that it’s 52 minutes and sponsored by Dodge.” Hee.
