ABC’s signature skeins are back in April with original, post-writers strike shows, the net said Wednesday.
Alphabet’s key Thursday night sked will be back on April 24, with “Lost” moving up to 10 p.m. to make room for the return of “Grey’s Anatomy” at 9 p.m. (”Ugly Betty” is back at 8.) All three shows will run five more originals, taking the night through May sweeps.
“Desperate Housewives” returns with seven new hours starting Sunday, April 13 at 9 p.m., with five weeks of originals, followed by a two-hour finale.
“Housewives” companion “Brothers & Sisters” is back on April 20 at 10 p.m., with four more segs.
Also returning: “Boston Legal” is back Tuesdays at 10 p.m. starting April 8, with six more episodes. ABC’s only frosh skein returning in the spring, “Samantha Who?,” is back on Monday, April 7 at 9:30 p.m. with six originals.
As previously announced, freshman dramas “Pushing Daisies,” “Private Practice” and “Dirty Sexy Money” won’t be back until fall.

Kristin from E!Online have all the scoop of our favorite T.V. shows.
Barry in Springfield, New Jersey: Any Prison Break scoop?
Yes, sir. There is a major death coming up! A character whom we’ve gotten to know quite well is gonna kick the bucket quite soon. I’m told the way he goes is really sad…but whether you’ll be upset about his passing, I’m not so sure. Certainly, it will change things at Sona.
Emmy in Louisville, Kentucky: Can you tell us any more about this “fascinating” Sawyer-Kate scene in episode three?
In the Island’s big game of capture the flag, Kate gets tagged out by the other team and sent to “jail.” Lucky for her, she’s in good with the jailer…
Jone in Fort Collins, Colorado: What’s next on Terminator? That show is turning out to be surprisingly intellectual for something that’s about killer robots.
Seriously! Anyway, putting aside talk of “the singularity” for a minute, I can tell you that, according to Summer Glau, Cameron may not be about what she says she’s about. On Friday, she told me, “It’s a mystery at this point if Cameron’s intentions are what she presents them to be. I don’t even really know what’s going on with Cameron. I do know that maybe she has a mysterious past. And it’s unclear what she ends up being in the future. But at this point, I think that all three of us, as far as what I know from the script, we are all fighting for the same goal, but that might turn out to be sort of a front. Cameron might have come back from the past for a different purpose.” Hmmm…
Phil in Yukon, Oklahoma: Please, some Terminator love! Thank you!
Summer Glau also told me, “I’m really proud of this week’s episode. It’s one of our biggest action episodes. We have two new Terminators coming into play, one played by Brian Bloom. It’s huge, and we worked so hard on this episode.”
This is Kristin’s interview with Jorge Garcia who plays Hurley on Lost. To read the whole article, click here.
There was some creepy stuff in that episode. It took us a while to figure out where John Terry (Jack’s father) was. And then Damon said to “look for the white shoes” and it was like, “Holy crap! Jack’s dad is in Jacob’s house!”
Me too. That wasn’t the way it was in the script. There was someone else in the chair.
What? Really? Was it a different person, or they didn’t tell you who was in the chair?
We shot it with someone else in the chair.
Are you allowed to say who was in the chair originally?
Yeah. I think so. It was me. I was in the chair when we shot it.
Crazy town! Why did they change it?
I don’t know. At first I thought maybe they decided that putting Jack’s father there was a much better twist, which it was, so they changed it. But now I think maybe they planned that all along and didn’t want to have it in the script because they didn’t want anyone to know about it.
So, it seems the producers are getting very crafty in keeping those secrets.
Yeah, I think so. I know that when guest stars come on, they’ll have them read with one actor and a script, and then when they get it, it’s a totally different script and scene and actor. And last night, the scene in the police department also was different. When we shot it, it was an aquarium. Like, a real aquarium. And none of us knew it would be Charlie inside there. They added that later on.
Do you feel like last night’s episode was representative of how good the next seven episodes will be? Are they on that same level?
The writing is really strong for all eight, and there are some really good twists. There’s definitely a big crazy moment that they end the eighth episode with that people are going to be talking about.
This episode will air on Thursday, February 7. Can’t wait for this weeks Lost episode? Well, I have here three sneak peek videos of Confirmed Dead. If you don’t want spoilers, don’t watch it.
On the season 4 premiere, Hurley stumbled into Jacob’s cabin. Remember that cabin, where Ben brought John to, and John couldn’t see anyone there? Well Hurley saw Jacob but when he peeped inside the cabin, there was an eye looking back at Hurley. There have been speculations that Jacob is Jack’s dad. People have been saying that Jacob looks like him. Here is what MSNBC wrote:
Guess who? Lagging behind the others, Hurley stumbled on one of the island’s more exclusive landmarks: Jacob’s cabin. Led by the sound of faint whispers and foolish curiosity, Hurley peeked in the window to see Jacob himself. (Eagle-eyed viewers may notice that Jacob’s looking a lot like Jack’s dad, Christian Shephard, nowadays — right down to the white sneakers!) That startling discovery was cut short by the more startling appearance of an eye looking back at Hurley. Shaken, he chanted a couple of rounds of “There’s nothing here,” after which the cabin vanished, just in time for Locke to show up.
Interesting right?
I can’t wait! The excitement is building up. Only 2 days left ’till the season premiere of Lost! If you can’t literally wait, I have here some major spoilers for you fellow Lost fans. From episode 1 to 8. Here are the air dates in case you don’t want to read the spoilers.
